24 Hours with DELHI METRO......

No-one ever needed a mass rapid transit system like Delhi. By 1998 a population of 12 million people, driving nearly 3.5 million vehicles, put the city in a world class for pollution and congestion. Then work on the Metro began and by the end of 2005, with the completion of the first phase – on time and under budget – Delhi suddenly found itself at the top of a new world league.... now it’s citizens were the proud owners of the most advanced railway ever built.

24 Hours with the Delhi Metro goes behind the scenes for a look at the people and the technology behind one of the biggest infrastructure projects in modern India. What goes into building and operating one of the finest rail-based Mass Rapid Transport Systems in the world? And how is it changing the landscape of Delhi and the mindset of its people? This is not just a film on the Delhi Metro but will also be a portrait of the city itself.

24 Hours with the Delhi Metro was telecast on the Discovery Channel.
